Austin Zhou
I have been training and working with collegiate-middle school athletes since 2017, driven by a deep passion to learn the game and better improve my own training. My journey into training began under the tutelage of Brandon Ball, one of New England’s top trainers. While learning the proven methods of player development, I played a key role in leading daily individual and group workouts for dozens of high-level middle and high school athletes, many of whom are now playing at the collegiate-level.
I played four years as a varsity starter at Acton-Boxboro Regional High School, where I was a team captain and DCL All-Star in my junior and senior seasons. In my senior year, our team reached the state final four and won a conference championship. After high school, I committed to WPI, one of the top D3 basketball programs in New England, to play under legendary Coach Chris Bartley. At WPI, we went to the NCAA elite eight, won two conference regular season and one post season championship. I served as a team captain my senior year.
After completing a four-year playing career at WPI, I returned as a collegiate assistant coach, where I focused on player development and scouting. Now, as an assistant varsity basketball coach at Dexter Southfield in Brookline, I strive to continue to help athletes refine their skillset, grow their confidence, and unlock their full potential—both on and off the court.
